Doing Business with the Frontier Culture Museum

The Frontier Culture Museum is an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Our business practices follow the policies and procedures set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act and the Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual.

Vendors doing business with state agencies must be registered with the eVA electronic procurement system. The state currently uses MasterCard for small purchases of maintenance, operating and repair supplies and services. Vendors must have a current Substitute W-9 form on file with the museum's business office.

The museum is required to purchase some items from mandatory state contracts; examples are office furniture and cleaning supplies.

The museum encourages the participation of businesses owned by women and minorities. To be eligible to do business with state agencies, vendors must be registered with the Department of Minority Business Enterprises (DMBE). For information on DMBE and other vendor information, visit the Department of General Services website at http://www.dgs.state.va.us/dps.

For information on doing business with the museum, contact Donna Smith, Fiscal Officer at 540-332-7850 or
donna.smith(a)fcmv.virginia.gov.

The Frontier Culture Museum occasionally solicits the services of architects, engineers and contractors for large and small projects in planning, design and construction and non-professional services. Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Invitations for Bids (IFB) are posted on the eVA Virginia Business Opportunities site and will be posted on this page. For information on contracts, contact Mark Gatewood, VCO, at 540-332-7850 or mark.gatewood(a)fcmv.virginia.gov.
