| Objective: | Students will research and present information on the customs associated with Christmas celebrations in the Shenandoah Valley. |
Activity: In this activity, the students will be conducting research from the library, internet and Frontier Culture Museum to present an oral narrative to the class.
Materials:
Procedure:
1. Divide Students into three groups (England 1600s, Ireland 1700s, Germany 1700s)
2. Have the students research how each country celebrated Christmas and describe which customs from each country are incorporated into how we celebrate Christmas in America.
Assessment: Have the students present their findings to the class. Grade the student's work on a set number of resources that you have predetermined.
