Volunteering At the Frontier Culture Museum

The adult volunteer program at the Frontier Culture Museum is designed for anyone aged 16 or older. This program has
been created to aid the Museum's staff and to enhance the quality and the functionality of the Museum, while providing an
entertaining and educational experience for the volunteers.

The Museum has plenty of opportunities to volunteer in costume, on our period farm sites, or to work in the historic
gardens. Volunteers could be used to lend a hand to our buildings & grounds crew, work with our livestock coordinator,
help out in the visitor's center and store, or aid the administration, education, and curatorial departments. Special events
such as Oktoberfest and the Fortune/Williams Concert also require volunteers. In some departments, the number of
volunteers needed may vary. Once established in our program, it may also be possible for a volunteer to work in more than
one department.

Volunteers will receive a monthly mailing with information about the Museum and a listing of volunteer opportunities for
the next month. There will be periodic meetings for the participants and the coordinator to discuss the program over
refreshments, and watch educational videos or historic fiction! This program is a wonderful way to help our unique Museum
be better able to serve and educate visitors and school children. It is also a fun and rewarding way to help your community.
Application forms are available in our administration building as well as on our website. We know that your time is valuable
and appreciate you taking a moment to learn a little more about us. Thank you!
