Aug 27: Roots Music Concert - Amber Collins & Branch House Pavilion
The American Roots Music Concert Series returns for in 2017 with four outstanding dinner-concert events featuring traditional Appalachian, bluegrass, blues, gospel, and old-time music.
Amber Collins & Branch House Pavilion. In May of 2014, Amber Collins along with Floyd, VA area musicians Abe Goorskey (mandolin) and Scott Patrick (guitar), decided to put together a trio to be able to play a wider variety of music in a smaller band format. The result is an opportunity for folks to hear a lot more originals along with their favorite country, gospel, folk, Americana, bluegrass, and acoustic rock songs.
The concert series celebrates the influence of these musical roots genres on American frontier culture. The event provides a casual environment, and features dinner theater seating with food & beverage vendors under the Lee S. Cochran Pavilion.
